Furniture Care
Placement
Place your furniture out of contact with direct heat or sunlight. Sunlight
UV rays can damage the finish or darken the wood surface.
Dusting
Dust often with a soft cloth moistened with furniture polish. The polish
will prevent abrasive dust particles from scratching the finished surface.
Suitable dusting cloths include an old T-shirt, cloth baby diaper,
or commercially available dust cloths. Avoid anything harsh or scratchy.
Cleaning Spills
Liquid spills may cause serious damage if not immediately removed.
Carefully blot up any liquid. Do not rub or wipe the liquid into the
wood surface. Use a lightly dampened cloth to remove all residue, followed
by a dry cloth.
Waxing
Your furniture will benefit from an occasional, once a year waxing.
Using a high quality paste wax, apply a very light coat in overlapping
circles and finally in the direction of the grain. When the wax is
completely dry, buff to a shine. |
